Grinding teeth can both occur in daytime and at night time. The occurrence is more rampant at night. Studies show that grinding teeth is primarily caused by stress. People who deal with high levels of stress develop this condition. This is actually the body’s way of releasing stress. The person who suffers from grinding teeth will usually feel soreness on his or her jaw area when they wake up in the morning. They may feel stiffness or pain on their necks. Accompanying this pain are headaches and migraines. The clenching is so strong that it can cause earaches. There are cases wherein it caused the loss of somebody’s hearing.
