Trauma is defined as suffering experience that produces psychological injury or pain. Trauma abuse can be treated by proper help from the expert and support from family. The place for therapy process must be relaxed and patient has to feel safe and nurtured.
Most patients feel shame and often think they are responsible for the abusive experience. So it is important to not judge them and make them more guilty. Through individual and group sessions patients will develop a new understanding of those events and become more accepting of who they are and positive about their future.
