In general, individuals learn to fly for personal recreational purposes, to assist themselves in conduct of business, or to become professional pilots flying for corporations, airlines, or other organizations, private or public. How you learn to fly is not only important to your goal of flying professionally, but it also crucial to the long-term goal of keeping whatever flying job you eventually land. Most people learn to fly at flight training facilities where they rents the airplane and then pays the flight instructor an instructional fee in addition to the airplane rental.
There are many flight schools available out there. Primary flight schools operated by civilian companies provided basic and advanced flight training for the AAF. When deciding to learn to fly, many people choose the wrong place to learn how to fly or the wrong person to teach them. Remember that you have the right to change flight instructors if they are not training you in a way that seems beneficial to you.
