Robotics is cool and I have always been interested in robotics since high school, but I never trying to build a robot. I just can admire those people who developed those humanoid robots and enjoy watching the videos about the robot on the Internet. Fortunately few weeks ago I get a great opportunity to see the robotic technology so close at robot fair in my city.
With my friends I go to robot fair and see numerous amazing robot. Most of robot use motors to enable them to move. When I asking to the robot builder about what kind of motor they used for robot arms, they explained that there are many kinds of motor can be used for robot arms. Generally any motor that can rotate in both directions from 0 degrees to 180 degrees can be used for robot arms. The most common are DC servo motor, stepping motor and DC brushless motors. With this information finally I know how robot can move their hand like human. Hope I can visit robot fair again in the next year.
