The first step in restoring a hardwood flooring is to remove all the furnishings from the room. The next step is repair any defects in the wood flooring and remove any nails that are higher than the wood level, or nail them back in, then you’re ready to start refinishing your hardwood floor. Wood floor refinishing can be as simple as lightly sanding an existing finish and applying another coat of the same finish or as extensive as stripping the floor finish completely and sanding it several times before aplying a new finish.
